In response to parent requests to better offset school start times, the Royal Oak Board of Education modified hours for the 2012-2013 school year:
- Elementary school hours - 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m
- Royal Oak Middle School hours - 8:10 a.m.-3 p.m
- Royal Oak High School hours - 7:55 a.m.-3 p.m
Note: Times for the Early Childhood Center at Addams and classes at Churchill Community Center remain the same as 2011-2012.
