The third annual Goodtimes for Gleaners event will turn BlackFinn in Royal Oak into a virtual food bank for one night.

It all begins at 8 p.m. Thursday; if you bring three nonperishable food items to BlackFinn, you'll get $3 drinks for three hours.

Complimentary appetizers will be served 9-11 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Social Philanthropists Foundation, an Oakland County-based group.

In previous years, guests have been lined up around the block for the Goodtimes event, said organizer Rob Ray of Rochester.
