The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a heat advisory in effect today for all of Oakland County from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to a written statement.
Expect Saturday to reach temperatures into the the low to mid 90s with a heat index value near or exceeding 100 degrees. Coupled with high humidity, these conditions will lead to a "high heat stress index," the NWS states.
Officials caution that those who are prone to heat stress could suffer and that you should be seeking shade and air conditioning whenever possible. Anyone overcome by heat should move immediately to a cool place. Officials caution that heat stroke is a medical emergency, and anyone experiencing symptoms should call 911.

I was born and raised here and went into the service soon after graduating highschool. Found out how hot/cold Texas got in March and the next month found out all I wanted from Mississippi is to hear the blues songs. lol
