Kick Off to Can Cancer

  • September 19, 2012

Leon & Lulu kicks off  National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with their third annual Can Cancer fundraising event benefitting the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Stop in from 6-9 p.m .Friday, Sept. 28 and enjoy racks of bubbling Buddy’s Pizza, heaping scoops of rich Ray’s Ice Cream and jugs of refreshments as well as traditional roller rink fare. Peek at the well-endowed selection of creative merchandise, fashionable clothing and fabulous gifts.

Sales of Leon & Lulu’s irreverent breast cancer awareness tee shirt, 10 percent of sales, raffle money and all tips benefit Karmanos. Professional stylists will be standing by to help you tailor your tee at the customization station and share multiple ways to wrap and wear fall’s go-to accessory, the scarf.

“We are thrilled that our friends at Buddy’s Pizza and Ray’s Ice Cream are helping us kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our third Can Cancer party.” said Royal Oak resident Mary Liz Curtin, owner of Leon & Lulu. “Stay abreast of the times! We are happy to serve dumb puns and fabulous food to benefit Karmanos. From Tatas to T-shirts, we’ve got something for everybody.”

Whether you are a Leon or a Lulu, don’t be a boob and help us kick cancer in the can. Grab the girls, help us lift and separate a little cash for Karmanos. All hail the hooters!
