Save the date for the 3rd Annual Kids Cruise 4-8 p.m. Aug. 16.
Fifth and Sixth streets between Washington and Center will once again be transformed into an outdoor family gathering with an “Explore-a-Truck” area where kids can climb in police cars, fire trucks, dump trucks and inflatables, including giant slides and obstacles courses.
Entertainment includes music from Boogie Dynomite, Hype Syndicate, the Detroit School of Rock and Pop and The Candy Band. At sundown, Gnomeo & Juliet will play on an outdoor movie screen.
Local businesses are also getting involved. Kids Planet will have a balloon artist, Baskin Robins is offering cool treats, and children may create noodle art from Noodles and Company. For parents, see Douglas J for chair massages.
Plus, the tooth fairy will visit Bright Side Dental’s booth where kids can decorate boxes for their teeth and Dobrasevic Food Company and Playaway will offer an arts and crafts activity.
Be sure to check out the food selection from Mercurio Foods and Palmer Lemonade and slushie treats from Kona Ice.
