State Rep. Jim Townsend (D-Royal Oak) invites residents to get information and answers to their questions at his Senior Resource Fair from noon to 2 p.m. on June 24 in Royal Oak. The free event will take place at the Leo Mahany/Harold Meininger Senior Community Center, 3500 Marais Ave.

This free event will offer free blood pressure screenings from Beaumont Hospital and feature representatives from:

• Area Agency on Aging 1-B
• Oakland-Livingston Human Services Agency (OLHSA)
• Royal Oak Police Department
• Community Housing Network
• Elder Law

More than a dozen organizations will be offering information and services related to health care, safety, financial assistance and other issues of interest to seniors.
