Rio & The Rockabilly Revival to debut original song on WXYZ's Dream Cruise Special
Royal Oak’s Rio &The Rockabilly Revival has signed on as the official band for WXYZ’s Woodward Dream Cruise television special. Sharing the stage LIVE with Channel 7 anchors Stephen Clark, Carolyn Clifford and Diana Lewis on August 18th between 7-9pm.,they will debut their original song, “Rumble & Roar” which was written as “a love note” to all things classic car, Dream Cruise and most of all the Motor City.
Additionally, to celebrate the Dream Cruise,Rio & The Rockabilly Revival will make the song available as a digital download on CdBaby.com the week of the Dream Cruise from Monday-Sunday (August13th-19th) with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Forgotten Harvest.The charity, serves emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, children’s homes, senior centers and group homes in Michigan. Says the band’s front woman Rio Scafone, “I'm proud to be from Michigan. It's where I learned the value of strong community. It's part of who I am. Giving back, at this event through my music and Forgotten Harvest, just makes sense to me. This is home. We take care of our own."
