Is getting healthy one of your New Year's resolutions? Kick off a healthy lifestyle by joining Gilda's Club Metro Detroit at the Bling in the New Year Fun Run on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m.

Gilda's Club is hosting a running road rally through the streets of downtown Royal Oak. The event begins at BlackFinn American Saloon on Main Street in Royal Oak.

Teams of two people will complete challenges that take them from business to business picking up "bling" at each location. The first team to return with all their "bling" will win gift cards from Hansons Running Shop. All proceeds benefit the cancer support program at Gilda's Club Metro Detroit.

• Royal Oak Library
• Star Lanes Restaurant and Sports Bar

• Shine
• Niki's Restaurant
• Holiday Market

The event begins and ends at BlackFinn American Saloon. Check in begins at 10 a.m.; the road rally starts promptly at 10:45 a.m.

Registration is $20/per person and includes breakfast goodies from Holiday Market.

Finishers receive a free beer or soda upon return to BlackFinn. Lunch special and raffle will be held after the run.
