300 Drivers Needed to Raise $8,000 for High School Programs
The Drive One 4 UR School test-drive event is back Saturday. Check out new vehicles from Royal Oak Ford and raise funds for student programs.
How It Works
For every test-driver, Ford will make a $20 donation to the school, up to $6,000. It will give an additional $10 each for each person who test-drives the new Ford Focus, up to another $2,000. Any licensed driver 18 or older may test-drive a new vehicle at the high school from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday. No appointment is necessary.
The school needs 300 drivers to earn the maximum donation of $8,000.
History of Support
In May 2011, the high school teamed with the Royal Oak Ford dealership for the first Drive One 4 UR School test-drive program and raised $7,140 for students' cocurricular activities. An October 2011 Drive One 4 UR School event followed and then in June Ford Motor Co. made a hefty deposit of $14,500 into the high school’s bank account thanks to another successful community effort, and a group of talented student filmmakers who won the top prize of $10,000 in a Drive One 4 UR School video contest.
