5 Things to Know This Week: City Meetings, Craft Show, Open House

It's a busy week in Royal Oak, as usual. Here are five things you should know as you go about your week:
- City Commission meets Monday: The City Commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
- Nature Society lecture on Wedneday: Learn about “Insects in Your Backyard” at 7:30 p.m. at the Royal Oak Middle School. Join Joyce and Don Drife, Royal Oak Nature Society botanists, as they explore a suburban backyard looking for insects and spiders. The event is free to the public.
- Parks & Recreation Advisory Board meets Thursday: The Parks Master Plan is on the agenda. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Mahany/Meininger Senior Center. Click here for the agenda.
- Hearts & Flowers Craft Show is Saturday: Check out the Hearts & Flowers Craft Show, along with Antiques & Collectibles, at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Hours for this event are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. For additional information call 248-246-3276.
