5 Things to Know this Week: City Meetings, Public Safety Town Hall Event and More

There's a lot going on in Royal Oak this week. What do you have planned?

 

It's a busy week in Royal Oak, as usual. Here are five things you should know as you go about your week:

  1. City Commission meets Monday: The City Commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
  2. Planning Commission meets Tuesday: The Planning Commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall
  3. The Downtown Development Authority meets Wednesday: The DDA meeting starts at 4 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
  4. Public Safety Town Hall Event on Wednesday: Friends of Royal Oak Public Safety will host a town hall discussion on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. at Oak Ridge Elementary School, 506 E. 13 Mile Road in Royal Oak. City Mayor Jim Ellison will speak, joined by City Manager Don Johnson and police and fire department representatives.
  5. Easter Seals Michigan fundraiser at Zoo on Saturday: Walk With Me Detroit, an annual fundraising event for Easter Seals Michigan, will take place September 22 at the Detroit Zoo. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., walk begins at 9 a.m. Proceeds will be used to help children and adults living with disabilities, behavioral health disorders or other special needs, and their families so that they can successfully live, learn, work and play in their communities.
