Find out why the painted yellow sign on the former Royal Music Center has been uncovered in the nick of time.

As demolition and new construction surrounding the former Royal Music Center continues, a bright yellow sign has been revealed that reads: The Beer with the Million Dollar Flavor. 

The painted advertisement was uncovered when a single-story addition, which consisted of music lesson rooms, was knocked down recently to squeeze in more parking for a planned Reebok and Addias apparel and footwear store.

So, what is the beer with the million-dollar flavor, you ask? It’s Champagne Velvet.

According to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Champagne Velvet was the pride of the Terre Haute Brewing Co., once the 14th largest brewery in the U.S., until it closed in 1958.

In a weird twist of fate, the sign has been uncovered in time for a comeback for the German-inspired lager. After 55 years, the Upland Brewing Co. of Indiana announced it will resurrect Champagne Velvet in April.
