Once again, I am not raining of the efforts of EMagine, RORA, the DDA on this event I just want to point out that if our downtown can organize and pull off an event that brings cheer to residents and their families who will happily participate and take home great memories imagine what else can be done with our the help of our downtown business district to duplicate and rejuvenate the past accomplishments of residents and businesses who first designed our small but aging downtown park and its magnificent Stardream Fountain, the symbol of our city.
If our city residents had a Christmas wish list I am sure that among the wishes would be the repair of the track and tennis courts at ROHS. The repair of our many neighborhood tennis courts that are presently unusable, a downtown splash pad, a downtown hall possibly involving the farmers market, and not last but foremost the beginning of a downtown central park we can be proud of and enjoy all year round.
There will another meeting of Parks and Recreation looking to identify goals for the future on December 6th at 7PM at the senior center on Crooks. Bring your concerns and ideas.

Perhaps you can form orginazations that could raise monies for these causes and concerns. Donating monies and organizing volunteers I'm certain would be greatly appreciated by many city departments.

Thanks to all the sponsors of the Holiday Parade and to all the city workers and elected officials that make this happen. A banquet feast at the Palace is being scheduled.
