Police Blotter: Thieves Target Vehicles, Man Observed Naked at Salvation Army

Highlights of Royal Oak police reports for the week of Aug. 18-25:
Naked man seen at Salvation Army
Salvation Army Church, 3015 N. Main, Aug. 23: A 16-year-old girl reported walking with her 10-year-old sister and observing a completely naked male in his mid-30s, slightly heavy set, standing next to a small four-door black vehicle.
600 block of North Stephenson, Aug. 19: A woman reported that someone stole her 1992 Suburban from her driveway.
13 Mile and Woodward Avenue, Aug. 19: A man reported that someone stole his 2008 Triumph motorcycle.
Elmwood and Normandy, Aug. 19: A man reported that someone stole his 1992 Honda while it was parked in the street.
1200 block of Irving, Aug. 25: A man reported that someone stole his unlocked 1994 Jeep.
Items stolen from vehicles
1100 block of Marywood, Aug. 21: A man reported that someone entered his vehicle and stole two DVD/TV combo players.
2900 block of Elmhurst, Aug. 23: A man reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a computer, iPod and an undisclosed amount of currency.
200 block of West Parent, Aug. 18: A man reported that someone stole several wrenches from a basket in his backyard.
Sagamore Motel, 30776 Woodward Ave., Aug. 19: A woman reported that someone entered her motel room and stole her diamond ring.
McDonalds, 30807 Woodward Ave., Aug. 20: A woman reported that someone stole her purse, which contained her identification and various bank cards.
Etowah and Hudson, Aug. 21: A person reported that someone spray-painted blue lines on their fence.
Huntington Woods Pools, 32896 Woodward Ave., Aug. 22: A person reported that someone drilled a hole onto the gas line leading into the business.
Churchill Community Education Center, 707 Girard, Aug. 23: A person reported that someone spray-painted graffiti on the wall of the school.
Chicken Shack, 1320 E. 11 Mile Rd., Aug. 24: A person reported that someone threw a rock at the window located on the north side of the business causing it to shatter.
1300 block of S. Wilson, Aug. 24: A man reported that a male and two females knocked on his door. He allowed the suspects into his home after they claimed to be friends with his daughter. They began milling about the residence until another resident who was sleeping came downstairs after being awoken by their conversation. The suspects fled the residence when the second resident appeared from upstairs. The suspects fled the scene in a newer burgundy vehicle (possibly a Ford 500) that was parked in the driveway.
29444 Woodward Ave., Aug. 24: A woman reported that someone stole an undisclosed amount of currency, her identification and several credit cards from her unlocked locker.
