Queen of Hearts Tea at Royal Oak Woman's Club

The charity event features guest pourers and contests.

Mayor Jim Ellison and Oakland County Commissioner Dave Woodward will be pouring tea for ladies at the Royal Oak Woman's Club, while Royal Oak's First Lady, Jodie Ellison, greets guests.

The Queen of Hearts Tea will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Royal Oak Woman's Club House at 404 S. Pleasant.

Group Five of the Royal Oak Woman's Club will set tea tables with their own china and tea pots for charity event. Guests will be asked to vote for the prettiest, most unusual, and over-the-top presentation.

Guests will also participate in a contest where guests vote for the most beautiful, most unique and funniest hat. Token gifts will be given to the winners.

Tickets are $20; seating is limited.  Call Muriel Versagi at 248-542-7449 for more information and tickets.

Group 5 will donate proceeds to the SAL, Sanctuary in Royal Oak, and Girlstown, as well as supporting the Woman's Club Health Related $1000 scholarship, among others.
