Royal Oak-based Scottish American Society of Michigan will host its 4th annual Robert Burns Supper on Sunday, January 20 from 3 to 7 pm at the Commonwealth Club, 30088 Dequindre Road in Warren. Featured at the event will be:

  • Traditional Scotch Pie and Bridie Dinner with Mushie Peas and chips
  • Address to the Haggis
  • Detroit Caledonian Pipe Band and Highland Dancers
  • Raggle Taggle Band
  • Scottish Harpist
  • Story teller Elliot MacFarlane
  • Toasts, Celtic fiddler, cheers and more

“Robert Burns Suppers are such a great time because people get to come and relax in a non-formal setting, learn about the life and times of Burns, and hear poems and songs written by the great bard himself,” says Franklin Dohanyos, Executive Director of the Scottish American Society of Michigan. “We only have 160 seats and as usual, it will be a sell out as in years past. It’s a fun time for the entire family. We’re the least expensive and one of the best Burns Suppers in Metro Detroit. This year we’re featuring food from Ackroyd’s Scottish Bakery – an area favorite for over 60 years.”

The cost for this event is only $25 for adults and $15 for kids ten and under. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit www.scotsofmichigan.com.
