Sheriff's Office Seeks Help in Nabbing Fraud Suspects
Reward money is available through Crime Stoppers connected to series of incidents in southern Oakland County and western Wayne County.
Five suspects believed to be connected to a series of incidents of fraud in southern Oakland County and western Wayne County are the focus of an investigation by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Secret Service, and local agencies.
Reward money is available through Crime Stoppers (1-800-SPEAK-UP) in order to find names of the five suspects and the vehicle involved — possibly a blue, 2010 Ford Fusion.
Crimes of bank/credit union fraud and ATM skimming are believed to have started Jun. 28. The same five suspects are believed to have stolen $500,000 at locations in Commerce Township, West Bloomfield Township, Livonia, Ferndale, Westland, Novi, and Wixom.
Of the five suspects, the OCSO has the most information about two in particular who have been spotted together on multiple occasions. Both are white men; "Suspect No. 1" stands between 5'11"-6'1", 180-200 lbs., with an unknown tattoo on his upper right arm; "Suspect No. 2" is between 5'10"-6'0", 145-165 lbs., with a very thin build.
