The Wireless Center Opens in Downtown Royal Oak
'This is a popular place to be,' store manager says of new location during Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting event.
The Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce got out the giant scissors once again for a ribbon cutting ceremony at The Wireless Center at the corner of Main and Fourth streets Friday afternoon.
Greg Woodworth, district manger for the store, cut the big red ribbon in a 50 degree January heat wave. It was perfect weather for what store manager Ashlee Edwards predicts will a hot location for the cellular dealer.
“We love it here (in Royal Oak),” Edwards said. “There is a lot of foot traffic, plus there is a college and neighborhood nearby. This is a popular place to be.”
Edwards is familar with Royal Oak. She took classes at the Royal Oak campus of Oakland Community College, just down the street.
The Wireless Center carries all the latest smartphones, tablets, mi-fi technology and accessories. “We’re a total solution store,” Edwards said.
