ULTA Beauty, a discount beauty retailer, has plans to open a Royal Oak store on Woodward Avenue.

On Tuesday, the Royal Oak Planning Commission gave the retailer its approval to take over the space that was previously a AAA Indurance and is currently being used as a Spirit Halloween.

According to the ULTA website, the company was founded in 1990 in a time when products were sold through distinct channels. The stores feature a variety of products from prestige, salon and mass produced product lines, making it a one-stop-shop for beauty needs.

The store's new address will be 28454 Woodward Ave.
