Weekend Planner: Zeds Dead, Mom 2 Mom Sale and More

A roundup of weekend happenings in Royal and surrounding areas.

 

1. 'The Last Five Years'

The Last Five Years opens at Stagecrafters on Friday. It's a contemporary song-cycle musical that uses both characters' point of views to tell the story of a five year life of marriage. We suggest you bring some tissues. The show show runs through March 18. Visit www.stagecrafters.org for show times and ticket prices.

2. Mom 2 Mom Sale

From 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday there will be a Mom 2 Mom Sale at Royal Oak High School. Admission is $2 or $1 for those who come before 8:30 a.m. The Royal Oak Hockey Association Moms Club is hosting the sale.

3. Royal Oak Artist Market Show & Sale

The farmers market is the setting for the Royal Oak Artist Market Show & Sale. Enjoy a unique blend of fine art and crafts featuring drawings, paintings, photography, clay, glass, wood, jewelry and more. The event is from 2 – 8 p.m. on Friday; 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday.

There will also be a preview party tonight from 5 - 8 p.m. featuring light fare from Royal Oak restaurants and live entertainment by Cello-Bella!

4. Fish Fry Friday

    With the start of Lent comes the season of fish fries. Many churches and organizations host one and most restaurants feature some catch-of-the-day special on their menus. We found a few places where you can get your fish fry fix. Click here for a list.

    5. Zeds Dead at Royal Oak Music Theatre

    Zeds Dead is at the Royal Oak Music Theatre with Omar LinX and support from AraabMUZIK and Xl. Doors open at 8 p.m. All Ages. Tickets are $20.
