4. Wild Winter Weekend: Safari Social

Beat the winter blues this season during our Wild Winter Weekends at the Detroit Zoo. Wild Winter is a unique, fun way to experience the magic of the Zoo in winter. Enjoy your favorite habitats indoors and out along with special activities including children’s music, zookeeper talks, crafts and much more. Free with admission: $15/ages 15-plus, $8/ages 2-14.

5. St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Time to get your green on. Come out to celebrate as the Norman O'Brien Division of the Ancient Order of Hiberians hosts the Oakland County St. Patrick's Day Parade. The parade begins at the Royal Oak Middle School parking lot and proceeds south on Washington, passing the judges/announcer reviewing stand at the intersection of Sixth and Washington before turning west on Seventh and ending at the St. Mary Catholic School parking lot. The parade starts at 11:30 a.m. Arrive early for a good spot to watch the parade.
