The Right to Vote

The right to vote is an honor and a privelege not to be taken lightly. Women especially need to exercise their right to vote. There was a time when only men were allowed. Wars have been fought, men have died preserving the freedoms we enjoy today.

One of those freedoms being the right to vote, but yet so many do not. There are so many excuses for not taking the time, after all it's only a primary, don't have time, I'll vote in November, I forgot. The list of excuses is endless.

Its not only the recent election, its every election. People will say nothing on the primary is important. That is simply not true. There are millage proposals, candidates to select for both parties. I often hear my vote doesn't count, every vote does count.

Those who don't vote will complain about the way things are after the fact. They will complain about the results and what transpires in local government. The percentages of those who do vote needs to improve to ensure that we continue to enjoy our right to freedom.
