Celebrate Black History Month with an African Adventure at the Zoo
Come to the Zoo for an afternoon of African culture. Kenyan naturalist and Detroit Zoo Education Specialist David Gakurewill tell stories. You can enjoy live entertainment, arts and crafts, an African drum lesson and other educational experiences.
All activities are free with regular Zoo admission.

More About Detroit Zoological Park
The Detroit Zoo is situated on 125 acres of land and is home to more than 1,500 animals. It features major exhibits which include the Penguinarium, the Arctic Ring of Life, Great Apes of Harambee, Australian Outback Adventure, National Amphibian Conservation Center, Holden Museum of Living Reptiles and Butterfly Garden.
