Th e Miles Levin Nepal Foundation for Health and Education (MLNFHE) will b e sponsoring an event at this years&rsquo\; Birmingham Bike Festival Au gust 26 2012.\nABOUT MLNFHE: This non-profit foundation was started in J anuary 2011\, with the mission of improving the lives of children in th e remote Nepalese Himalayan district of Khotang. This area has a popula tion of over 250\,000 people in about 70 villages. This area is cut off from roads and communication\, has no waste management (toilets) or cl ean drinking water\, and has severely limited access to adequate public health\, health care\, and educational opportunities. In 2012\, the Mi les Levin Pediatric Hospital Fund was also created to financially assis t families in the Detroit area with children undergoing  \;treatmen t \; for Pediatric Cancers and other serious childhood illnesses. We have just completed a hydroelec tric project\, are near completing building toilets for all homes and s chools in a village of 1\,500 people\, bought land for a school and pre school\, and are sponsoring children in school who would otherwise not be able to afford and education.
