DESCRIPTION:The annual event\, which has been held for over 25 years\, wi
 ll gather the local community together to honor and celebrate the ideals
  and memory of Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr.&nbsp\; The activities will b
 egin at 5:00 p.m. at the Roeper Community Center\, with a meal consistin
 g of a variety of homemade soups and bread. Following the meal\, at 6:15
  p.m.\, the ceremony will begin in which reflections will be shared rega
 rding the life and accomplishments of Dr. King. Poems will be read\, son
 gs sung and student and other community member presentations made. &nbsp
 \;At approximately 7:15 p.m.\, candles will be distributed and the Marti
 n Luther King\, Jr. Candlelight Walk will begin its procession from the 
 Community Center to Roeper&rsquo\;s Martin Luther King\, Jr. Domes\, bui
 lt in 1969 in his memory. The group will enter the large circular Big Do
 me\, at which time attendees of all ages can share their reflections abo
 ut this great man\, his impact on their lives\, the world today and the 
 work that still needs to be done.
