Our Greentopia's October Charity Sunday!

Our Greentopia, a new eco-lifestyle boutique nestled in the shopping district on 12 mile road in Berkley, is proud to present “Charity Sundays”.  The first Sunday of every month, Our Greentopia pledges to donate 10% of our net sales to an environmental non-profit, local charity or local education/school group.  In September were very gratified to be able to donate to the Berkley High School PTSA.

For our Charity Sunday event in October, we are really excited to partner with Kensington Church.  We will donate 10% of our sales on Sunday, October 6th, to their environmental and humanitarian endeavor, the Hope Water Project for the people in the Pokut area of Kenya.   Water is our most basic and vital need in life. Without it nothing can happen.  Nothing can grow – no one can live.  With it, everything changes.  Clean water quenches thirst and restores life. With access to clean water, life can be given back to a community.  Time spent finding clean water becomes time to work, time to go to school, to grow an economy.  Most importantly, clean water reveals hope for a new future.

1400 people have joined Team Kensington.  They have pledged to participate in this year’s Free Press Marathon in order to raise $1 million to build wells in Kenya.  We are honored to be able to join in this dynamic environmental humanitarian project.  For more information, please check out one of the Free Press stories on this project - http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=%2F201309192349%2FCOL38%2F309190174 .
