Royal Oak Ice Arena Hosts Morning of Free Skating and Hockey Events

There is a Chinese proverb that says “Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.” This Saturday, Sept. 14, aim to broaden your horizons and learn something new by grabbing a friend and coming to the Lindell Ice Arena this weekend for three unique, free events on the ice.

Introduce someone to ice skating with the Try Skating for FREE Clinic from10:15 a.m. – 11:05 a.m. Learn the “basics” of skating in a fun-filled environment with professional instructors.  All ages and levels of skaters are welcome.

Many parents have a son or daughter that say they want to play hockey. But what kids want this week, might not be the same as they want next week.  Are you worried about investing in equipment in case they change their mind? SOLUTION – have your first time player (ages 12 & under) test-drive the sport at the YOUTH “Try Hockey for Free” event from 11:15 a.m.-12:05 p.m.

Participants will be provided all the necessary hockey equipment for the event. In addition, on-ice instructors will be present to teach kids how to get dressed, stand on skates, hold a stick and skate around.

Adults – your time to learn new things is NOT behind you either!  Lindell is super excited to be offering the first ever ADULT "Try Hockey for Free" Clinic this Saturday, Sept. 14 from 11:15 a.m.-12:05 p.m.  Men & Women (ages 18 & up) who like watching hockey on TV, Hockey Moms & Dads who haven't experienced the game for themselves . . . this is for you! Come out and discover how much fun hockey really is. The ice arena will provide the instructors and all the equipment you will need at no cost.
