Royal Oak Jaycees offering membership special

Did you resolve to get more involved in your community this year?  Meet more people?   Learn new things?  Even though it’s already February, it’s not too late. Joining the Royal Oak Jaycees can help you achieve these New Year’s resolutions, and more.

The Royal Oak Jaycees is organization that provides young people ages 21-40 with personal and professional development opportunities that empower them to create positive change within the community. The Royal Oak chapter is full of bright, vibrant members from south Oakland County, and activities are well balanced between social events, community projects and individual development opportunities.

Anyone interested in learning more about the Royal Oak Jaycees is encouraged to attend an upcoming event. As a bonus, the chapter is offering a membership special:  Anyone who joins as a new member at either of the following events will receive half off the membership price of $70 per year.

• General Membership Meeting
The Royal Oak Jaycees’ monthly General Membership Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Salter Center, 1545 E. Lincoln in Royal Oak. Special guest speaker Jay Johnson, president of the Michigan Jaycees, will speak about how new members can get involved in this longstanding organization.

• Feather Bowling at Cadieux Café
All current and prospective members are invited to the Cadieux Café , 4300 Cadieux in Detroit, at 4 p.m. March 2 for an evening of feather bowling, food, drinks and good times. The chapter will cover the cost of feather bowling.
