$3,215 Raised for Stuffed Animals for Patients

Royal Oak-based Bedside Healers is on a campaign to bring some fuzzy comfort to boys and girls across Oakland County.

An online campaign to donate stuffed animals to children in hospitals has brought in $3,215 in just 26 days.

Royal Oak-based Bedside Healers will donate bears equipped with an innovative design that allows patients to attach them to bed rails, IV posts, and walkers.

The campaign hopes to raise $18,990.

Jason Peach created the fundraiser on GoFundMe.com in November. The page reads:

"Our new company is running a campaign to raise funds to be able to donate 1,000 Bedside Healer stuffed animals, to deserving kids before this Christmas 2013!

The stuffed animals will be distributed across the county to those in need of a pick me up, those in hospitals, those in nursing homes or those just home sick."
