More than 600 DTE Energy customers in Royal Oak were left in the dark on Wednesday night amid severe thunderstorms, beginning about 6:35 p.m.
According to the DTE Energy Outage Map online, the most severe outages were north of Royal Oak. More than 6,000 customers in Troy are without power.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning in Oakland County on Wednesday, effective until 12 midnight.
