Free Home Repair and Maintenance Applications Available Now For Qualified Low Income Homeowners

Rebuilding Together Oakland County (RTOC) is accepting applications from low-income homeowners for the 2014 work day.

The Rebuild Day event helps low-income seniors, military families and others in need by providing free home repairs and maintenance for those who cannot afford or physically complete the work themselves.  Past renovations have included replacing windows, removing trip hazards, installing grab bars in bathrooms, making bathroom modifications for the disabled, upgrading kitchens, painting, yard clean up and landscaping.

Rebuilding Together Oakland County provides these services to low-income homeowners throughout Oakland County.  To qualify, low-income applicants must own their home and be current on mortgage payments and taxes. Areas served include Huron Valley, Pontiac, Oak Park, Royal Oak Twp., Southfield, Farmington, Farmington Hills and the “Lakes Area” of western Oakland County.  Applications are due by the end of January.
