UPDATE: How Much Snow is in Tuesday's Forecast?

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory.

The National Weather Service (NWS)  has issued a winter weather advisory for Oakland County, which is in effect from 7 p.m. this evening through noon Wednesday. 

According to NWS, light snow will begin this evening then peak between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The snow will diminish during Wednesday morning and end by noon.  

The total snow accumulation through Wednesday will be in the 3 to 5 inch range.

NWS advises:

  • untreated roads will become snow covered and slippery
  • visibility will be reduced as low as a half mile during the peak of the even
  • a winter weather advisory means that snow will cause travel    difficulties
  • slow down and use caution while driving
