National Pancake Day on March 4 supports Beaumont Children's Hospital

Order up at IHOP's National Pancake Day on March 4 to benefit Beaumont Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Order up at IHOP’s National Pancake Day on March 4 to benefit Beaumont Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. IHOP will be serving up a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes to guests during its annual event to help sick and injured children. Guests then are encouraged to make donations to help Beaumont Children’s Hospital, an affiliate of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

During the ninth National Pancake Day more than 1,500 IHOP restaurants, including those in Southeast Michigan, will invite customers to enjoy its breakfast tradition from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. IHOP hopes to raise $3 million and more than $25,000 locally.

"We are extremely grateful to IHOP and its patrons for their generous support of Beaumont Children's Hospital,” says Dr. Brian Berman, pediatrician-in-chief of Beaumont Children’s Hospital. “These donations help provide comfort and support compassionate care to the many children and families that we serve throughout the region."

There are 11 participating IHOP locations in the area, including Bloomfield Hills, Brighton, Dearborn Heights, Detroit, Livonia, Novi, Roseville, Royal Oak, Sterling Heights, Woodhaven and Ypsilanti.

All of the donations stay local and help Beaumont Children’s Hospital to purchase medical equipment, which provides live-saving procedures for more than 100,000 sick and injured children each year.
