Royal Oak Youth Assistance Seeks Sponsors for Bowl-A-Thon

Donations will be used as door prizes, silent auction or in a fish bowl auction.

Royal Oak Youth Assistance (ROYA) is seeking corporate sponsors for its 32nd Annual Bowl-A-Thon on Sunday, Mar. 2 from noon to 3 p.m. at Thunderbird Lanes.

Door prizes, silent auction and fish bowl auction items and lane sponsors are needed.

The Bowl-A-Thon provides funding for a variety of prevention programs including summer camp scholarships, the Mentor PLUS program and family education to assist parents in gaining the skills and knowledge needed to raise children in today’s complex society.

4 ways you can help

1. Door prizes - ROYA needs about 50 door prizes worth about $5 each. Gift cards and fast food coupon books are always particularly appreciated.

2. Fishbowl auction items. Items with a value of at least $25 retail that ROYA can have participants bid on. Gift baskets are also very popular and can be put together by a group. Larger gift certificates for services, restaurants, etc. would also be appreciated.

3. Write a check to Royal Oak Youth Assistance. Any amount makes us grateful and helps a child! $100 sponsors a lane - your name gets a lot of visibility. $250 makes you a corporate sponsor and gets your company name and logo more visible on banners throughout the venue and in the program. You could mail us a check at: Royal Oak Youth Assistance, 1601 N. Campbell Rd., Royal Oak, MI 48067. Call  248-546-8282  if you have any questions.

4. Bowl. You get three games, shoes, pizza, pop, and a chance at some great doorprizes. What we ask is that you raise $100 for the organization. Call if you want to bowl -- or you could find four friends and put a team together. It's a really fun event.
