Royal Oak Churches Plan Ash Wednesday Services
Christians of many denominations will attend Lenten services in and around Royal Oak on March 5.
Lent is the season of reflection and fasting leading to Easter. Royal Oak Patch brings you a list of area churches offering Ash Wednesday services on March 5, the beginning of the Lenten season.
- First Congregational Church of Royal Oak: Ash Wednesday service, 7 p.m.
- First United Methodist Church: Service of Ashes, 7:30 p.m.
- Shrine of the Little Flower: Ash Wednesday Masses, 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., noon and 7 p.m.
- St. Mary Catholic Church: Ash Wednesday Masses, 10 a.m., noon and 7 p.m.
- St. John's Episcopal Church: Service of Ashes, 6:30 a.m., noon and 7:30 p.m.
- St. Paul's Lutheran: Midweek Lenten worship services at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. with a dinner starting at 6 p.m.
