Salvation Army Royal Oak Citadel Receives $2,000 Donation

Recent Salvation Army red kettle donations were more than doubled, thanks to a generous $2,000 match from Flagstar Bank as part of the grand reopening of the bank’s branch in the Troy Walmart.

Captain Peter Mount from The Salvation Army of Royal Oak received the donation from Flagstar Bank representatives.

Funds raised through The Salvation Army’s red kettles provide hope through food, clothing, shelter, financial assistance and other social services to metro Detroiters in need all year long. The 2013 Red Kettle Campaign’s goal is $8.75 million and runs through Jan. 31, 2014.
