Sip, Savor, Stomp: Holiday Wine Tasting at Royal Oak Farmers Market

Sample over 100 wines and stock your cellar for the holiday season on Nov. 9.

Looking for the perfect way to learn about new wines and stock up on a few bottles (or cases) just in time for the holiday season?  Come to Sip, Savor, Stomp at the Royal Oak Farmer’s Market on Saturday, Nov. 9, where over 100 wines ranging in price from the affordable to the extravagant will be available for tasting and purchase in a fun and social setting. 

Sip, Savor, Stomp attendees will feature a wide variety of reds, whites, and bubblies as well as such holiday delicacies as artisan cheeses, chocolates, coffees, and wine-inspired cuisine from area restaurants and Michigan vendors, including Pure Harvest Pesto, 313 Foodie Sauce, and Ethel’s Edibles.

The event runs from 8-11 p.m. on Saturday, November 9th, with a limited-quantity VIP session beginning at 7pm.  Grand Tasting tickets are $40 and include tasting cup 20 sampling tickets and program guide.  VIP Tasting tickets are $60 and allow for a one-hour relaxed atmosphere in which to sample both premium and select wines before the Grand Tasting admission begins, and 25 sampling tickets.  “Designated Driver” tickets are available for $10 and must accompany a paid attendee.  A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit AIDS Walk Detroit.

Being a wine connoisseur is not a necessity at Sip, Savor, Stomp!  Those looking to expand their wine palates in a fun atmosphere and to purchase wine in a wide variety of price ranges will find this the perfect place to do so, while avid wine lovers who appreciate higher-end wines will have the opportunity to sample many premium wines and champagnes before making their holiday wine purchases.

Attendees will be entertained by Detroit’s own crooner Ben Sharkey, will have an opportunity to bid on wine baskets in both live and silent auctions, and will be served bread, cheese and chocolate to enhance their wine tasting throughout the event.  A complete list of wines available for tasting can be found at www.sipsavorstomp.com
