Week Ahead: Family Day, Suicide Awareness Forum, History Hunt and More

There's a lot going on in Royal Oak this week. Here are five things you should know as you go about your week.

It's a busy week in Royal Oak, as usual. Here are five things you should know as you go about your week:

1. Family Day is Monday: Join the Royal Oak Community Coalition and local restaurants and merchants to celebrate Family Day - a day to eat dinner with your children. Click here to print a flyer to present to participating restaurants and merchants to enjoy discounts. 


2. Royal Oak Women’s Club Meet & Greet on Tuesday: Women are invited to attend a meet & greet event from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Royal Oak Women's Club, located at 404 S. Pleasant St. To register for the event or for more information, please call Mary Lou at 248-840-0660.

3. Suicide awareness forum is Wednesday: Royal Oak SAFE (Suicide Awareness is for Everyone) hosts an evening of empowerment at Royal Oak Middle School, 709 N Washington Ave., from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for residents and guests who want to contribute to a safer, healthier community. Click here for more information.

4. Tags Days on Friday and Saturday:  Band and orchestra students will be stationed outside 10 businesses in Royal Oak (click here to see a complete list) on Friday and Saturday to solicit donations from community members. 

5. History Hunt is Saturday and Sunday: Join the Royal Oak Historical Society for its first ever Royal Oak History Hunt. Your knowledge of Royal Oak’s history will be put to the test during this two-day event.  Click here for more information.
