The meeting is free and open to the public. Royal Oak residents, and also persons who bike or walk through Royal Oak, are invited and encouraged to attend.

For five years a group of Royal Oak residents and the Royal Oak Environmental Advisory Board have been pressing city hall to make Royal Oak a safe place to walk and ride a bicycle.  Since then the City Commission has adopted a non-motorized transporation plan, and city staff have been studying various options to implement that plan.

On Thursday August 8th, City Engineer Matthew Callahan will discuss what options city staff have considered and decided so far.  We will also be collecting ideas from the public on changes you would like to see to make Royal Oak safer for bicyclists and pedestrians.  Please bring your ideas to this meeting, you will have a chance to speak to the board and city staff.
