Get Out: Art, Theatre and The Luck of the Irish

A few ideas for a fun-filled weekend in Royal Oak.

The weekend is just about here and if you're still not sure what to do, here are some suggestions. 

1.

Where/when: , 215 S. Main St.; Thursday 11 a.m.
Why go: DJ Nix and DJ Victor V will be spinning tunes to get you on the dance floor. For St. Patty's Day there will be an Irish menu and some sweet drink specials including $4 Killians and green pints, $5 Guinness draft, and $5 Car Bombs and Irish coffee.

Where/when: , 205 W. 5th Ave; Thursday 11 a.m.
Why go: Get your Irish on at O'Tooles with a live bagpiper and Irish music. They will also feature an Irish menu and have some great drink specials.

3. BLACKFINN

Where/when: BlackFinn, 530 S. Main St.; Thursday 11 a.m.
Why go: BlackFinn will be serving kegs and eggs for breakfast and will also be featuring an Irish menu. Later on in the evening DJ Ryan Davenport will be spinning tunes to get you on the dance floor. For every green keg of Miller Lite sold, BlackFinn will be donating $30 to the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan.

4. BLACK EYED PEAS DANCE TRIBUTE

Where/when: , 1815 N. Main St; Thursday 9 p.m.
Why go: Dance the night away at Luna. If you love the Black Eyed Peas and dancing then what better way to spend an evening? 
Pricing: $5

5.  THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE

Where/when: , 415 S. Lafayette; Friday 8 p.m.
Why go:  Check out the musical comedy at the Baldwin Theatre. This production is sure to have you laughing and enjoying the show. The Stagecrafters always put on stellar performances.
