Why go: Camilo Pardo's artwork features beautiful women and cars. His artist reception will be at 323 East on Saturday when his new collection of work will be unveiled. The new works are displayed on silkscreen on canvas, found objects and other surfaces, metal and more. There will also be ladies wearing designs created by Pardo.

Why go: Have a night of laughs at the Comedy Castle with Allan Goodwin. He has beeen featured on America's Funniest People and The Biily Bush Show. Goodwin has also recently opened for Dave Chappelle, Wayne Brady and Steven Wright on their tours.
Where/when: , 500 S. Main St.; Thursday 6:30 p.m.
Why go: Grab the kids and head out to Barnes and Noble for some quality family time. Enjoy games, activities, songs, cookies and storytime.
Where/when: , 118 N. Main St.: Friday and Saturday at midnight
Why go: This weekend check out the midnight movie Robocop at the Main Art Theatre.
Where/when: Downtown Royal Oak, Saturday 10 a.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.
Why go: The annual Clay, Glass and Metal Show is a great way to get outside and enjoy the day. Shop for gifts, jewelry and art. There will be live entertainment and food. For the kids there will be the Creative Art Studios tent where they can explore their inner artist.
