Get Out: Concerts, Comedy and Ethan Bortnick's Musical Time Machine

Thursday is here and it's time to find out what is going on in Royal Oak this weekend.

Where/when:
318 W. 4th St; Thursday, 6 p.m.
Why go: Escape the Fate is a hard rock band from Las Vegas. This is a band that is steadily making a name for itself as its music continues to climb the Active Rock and Alternative Rock radio charts. Also sharing the stage with Escape the Fate and Alesana is Motionless in White, Get Scared and Drive A.
Pricing: $18

318 W. 4th St; Friday, 7 p.m.
Why go: is a musical child prodigy that has been featured on PBS and Oprah. He began playing the keyboard at the age 3 and began composing music by the age of 5. He is able to play any song by ear. Bortnick will be performing to help raise money for the Adopt a Refugee Fund.
Pricing: $50

1041 S. Main St; Saturday, 7 p.m. 
Why go: Step Inside the Box is the second annual HIV fundraiser to be hosted at ZMC Pharmacy. Music will be provided by DJ Jim Stone and there will be an open bar with Hogue wines and specialty cocktails. There will also be a strolling buffet that will feature cuisine from local Royal Oak restaurants. This event is 21 and up only.

Why go:  Rachel Feinstein is a comedian who has written for The Onion and Heeb Magazine. She's also been featured on Comics Unleashed, Just For Laughs, and Comedy Central Presents Rachel Feinstein. Also performing will be Michael McDaniel.
Pricing: $10, $15

Where/when:
1815 N. Main St; Sunday, 9 p.m.
Why go: The Killer Flamingos is one of Michigan's favorite party bands. The band is  known for playing  favorite hits and then some. Come and dance the night away to their high-energy blend of pop, rock and electronica.
