Get Out: Music, Comedy and a Spring Fling

This weekend Royal Oak has a variety of fun things going on. Whether you're looking for a night of laughs, music, or fun with the kids there's a lot to see and do that will provide an enjoyable evening.

Thursday 6 p.m., 21 and up
Why go:  The Spring Fling is a networking event that will take place among the butterflies and humming birds at the Zoo. Ticket price includes parking, one drink ticket and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. There will also be a cash bar available. 
Pricing: $15 for Zoo, Detroit Young Professionals, Fusion and After 5 Detroit members. $20 for non-members.

Why go: Barnes & Noble offers a fun family evening of story time, songs, games, activities, and cookies.

Why go: TJ Miller has appeared in “Get Him to the Greek," "Gulliver's Travels," and "Unstoppable." Last year he was named one of Variety's "10 Comics to Watch." He was also named as one of Entertainment Weekly's "Next Big Things in Comedy."

Saturday 6 p.m.
Why go: Czech-born internationally recognized artist Bask will unveil a new exhibition; Saturday Night Special. Bask is a renown graffiti and street artist. Come out for the opening night reception, have a drink and enjoy his latest artwork.

Where/when: , 215 W. Fifth Ave;
Sunday 9 p.m.
Why go: Enjoy Sunday evening with the music of Punch featuring Gary Pittel and Jeff Adam. Be sure to take advantage of the free pool, $2 drafts and half-off pizza.
