"I can confirm that Morrissey was admitted to the William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, last night where he is undergoing tests for a suspected bladder infection," publicist Lauren Papapietro told mlive.com Saturday afternoon.

She told mlive.com it is unclear when the English rocker, whose given name is Steven Morrissey, could be released.

His Thursday night concert in Flint was canceled and shows in Minneapolis and Chicago on Friday and Saturday also were postponed, according to eonline.com. Many of the shows on Morrissey's current tour were rescheduled from last year when he took time off to be with his ailing mother, the entertainment news website adds.
