Patch Readers Describe Favorite Night on the Town, Win DSO Tickets

Five Royal Oak Patch readers each won a pair of tickets to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield.

It could be argued that anyone who gets to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra perform for free is a winner. That's particularly true for the five Royal Oak Patch readers who, last week, won free tickets to see the DSO at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield.

Patch users Dora Mandermach, Sandra Sabo, Dina Kunz, Stepanie Blair and Dennis Burin each won a pair of tickets to Thursday's show, which is part of the DSO's Neighborhood Concert Series. Winners: Your tickets are on their way!

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and features Hans Graf as conductor and Karl Pituch on horn. Pieces include Invitation to the Dance and Overture to Oberon (Weber), Horn Concerto No. 4 (Mozart) and Symphony No. 2 (Schumann).

To enter, all five readers had to explain their favorite way to spend a night out in Royal Oak. Sabo wrote about heading to for dinner and then strolling around downtown and stopping for a treat at the or .
