Student Art Show and Silent Auction Raises Money for College-Bound Seniors

Shrine High School's Senior Art Auction pays for art supplies and more.

Artwork by Shrine High School students was displayed and auctioned off Thursday to raise money for college-bound seniors.

"It is for art supplies for those that are going into art school and the ones that are not majoring in art, it is for them to perhaps buy a textbook—just to kind of help send them off to school," said Shrine art teacher Jamine Stewart Laidlaw.

The student work brought in $1,600.
