Video: Why This Student Filmmaker Loves Royal Oak
Wayne State student director says the Royal Oak downtown environment suits his filming needs.
Following the lead of a Royal Oak Patch Twitter follower who wrote "WSU students are filming in the Washington Square Building parking lot. Looks interesting," Patch found Wayne State University film students shooting several scenes of a short film called Say Cheese in Royal Oak on Thursday.
Led by Lawrence Lamont, the group shot scenes near the train tracks, and the , where Lamont said he hopes to premiere the short film later in the year.
