Weekend Countdown: Dance as Piper Plays Library

Live music series is sure to have kilts swinging Saturday.

It's the first weekend of the new year, so get ready to kick up your heels. We told you about one way to get out and move to the music yesterday. Check out Monday's pick, on Friday, or today's pick for musical fun.

Our pick for Tuesday:

  • Cost:The Friends Auditorium will be filled with a wee bit o’Scotland as bagpipes, a few dance steps, Scottish stories and entertaining facts are presented by Piper Kim Johnson. Johnson will share a brief history of the bagpipes and other interesting Scottish history and folklore. All ages are welcome to hear the music and participate in a simple kilt swinging Highland dance! Practice your brogue, buckle your kilt, don your tam or wrap yourself in your finest tartan shawl, and come enjoy an hour in the Highlands!
