What Time are the Academy Awards? 2013 Oscar Start Time, Nominations

Shrine High School is holding an Oscar party in Royal Oak.

The red carpet will been rolled out at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for the stars tonight at the 2013 Academy Awards. 

When does the Academy Awards begin?

The awards show will start at 8:30 p.m. EST on ABC and is scheduled to last three hours.  It will be hosted by "Family Guy" creator/star Seth MacFarlane and televised live in more than 225 countries.  There will be pre-show broadcast for the Oscars ceremony that will begin at 7 p.m. on ABC. 

Royal Oak Oscar Party

In Royal Oak, the senior class at Shrine High School is holding an Oscar party at the high school the night of the Oscars.  It's a formal attire affair. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.
