I like to walk around town checking out the sights and then relax for some good conversation and maybe music at Goldfish Tea

The food and service at Cafe Muse is always outstanding and I also love Cafe Habana. Follow it up with a Stagecrafters show at the Baldwin Theatre and it's been a great night!

Monterrey Cantina for dinner and then a stroll around downtown Royal Oak, stopping for a treat at the Astoria Pastry shop or Gayle's Chocolates. It's always fun to sit down for a few and check out the new books inside Barnes & Noble too!

my best times in royal oak have generally gone like this ... drive in, let the courteous valet park my vehicle in the parking structure, walk over to the goldfish tea room for a cup and usually play a couple of songs at the incredible open mic that they often provide. from there it is often a night of music, drinks & fun at the royal oak music theatre with my wife and friends. then something light to eat at any one of the countless eateries on main st. before the evening comes to a pleasant end.

My favorite would have to be Mr. B's on a Friday night. Go around 8pm for a late dinner, then stay for the DJ that starts at 9:30pm and drink and dance the night away!

My favorite way to spend in Royal Oak is to go to Oak City Grille to have dinner and stay for the entertainment.

Sitting outside Starbucks, with our two dogs, just people watching and talking to other dog lovers. Unlike CA, dogs are not allowed in the sidewalk restaurant sections, so we order takeout and share with our canine family, then visit Barnes and Noble to see whats new and coffee to go and if still open check out the Salvation Army thrift shop, for fun new items.
